The ancient parish is mentioned in 1332. It was established in 1731, while it was a subsidiary of Bačko Novo Selo. Church was titled by Saint John the Baptizer, it was built in 1812, and widened in 1934. It is 44.83 m long, 13 m wide, transversal vessel is 18.85 long, and the inside hight is 13 m. Tower is 39 m high. There are three bells: the largest is 420, and the smallest 50 kg. Register books are being written since 1751. On the territory of the parish there is a glorious chapel titled by Apostles Saint Peter and Paul raised in 1760. Unfortunately it was completely demolished in 1964. In 1879 there was built a chapel on the local cemetery named by Christs Grave.
